Hi got to disagree I'm afraid. 3000 miles trouble free at well over 200bhp on a 300 tdi the horror stories about turning the boost up being a no no are not worth listening to if the engine is in a good state there is a huge amount of power that can be released I've proved it and sold the earlier conversion to a guy who races a 300tdi and hes amazed.A 300tdi engine will take over 30lbs of boost

With my mate who has a 1985 110 that currently has a Nissan td27 in it. We managed to blow it up on the way back to Nairobi through the bush and the cylinder heads are cracked. On closer inspection we need to replace the engine. The choices are the 300tdi (my favourite as I have it in mine) A Nissan TD27 again. and a Nissan QD32 Turbo.
I have a 50s model jaguar wheels are seized up. its been stud for a long wile. you need to get the old oils out gear box engine oil /dif oil and put new oil in. then you need to take the wheels off and need to spray deep penetrating oil into the shafts. dif etc then this is going to be the worst part brake the brake pads of the front wheels
Posted May 21, 2017. So I have pressure in my 300TDi crankcase, done a pressure test and getting 400-450psi on all the pistons with a warm engine. So changed the head gasket (didn't have the head pressure tested or skimmed though) however there's still pressure in the crank case. This would make me think piston rings but as it's getting pretty

The 1st number on the tag (ERR 4893) is the oem (Land Rover) part number. The 2nd number (452055-4) is the Garrett part number - note the number after the dash is a revision number so later numbers replace earlier. You should have a similar tag on the compressor cover/housing of your old turbo. EPC lists the 300TDi Turbo (Garret), as ERR4802E
